JK, I’m not giving up on my New Year’s resolutions (AKA goals), but I did get very discouraged this week. And then I learned that I’m not alone: Apparently, the second Friday of January is referred to as “Quitter’s Day,” because that’s the point at which many people give up on their resolutions. I made it three extra days and didn’t contemplate giving up until the following Monday.

Additionally, this week I saw several people on social media talking about feeling blah and unmotivated, and echoing what I myself was experiencing. Here’s how it happened for me.
